Oh, so that’s where that option is…

You’re about to learn where to find a gold mine of answers!

The power of a good piece of software these days is truly amazing! There are so many features and options and even novice users can do amazing things with a simple laptop computer.  However, as software becomes more advanced, we may tend to get more lost in these features or lose grasp of where to find the features we are looking for.

Both the latest and previous versions of ActivSoftware are very feature rich.  However, we sometimes don’t  know where to find all these features ActivStudio v3 Settingsand options.

My tip:start with the “Settings” menu (Preferences on Mac v3).

Here you will find answers to the questions you may not even have known you had! Take a few moments to explore this options menu.  Customize the software to meet your needs and then “save” your new profile the way you like it.

This is sure to spark such comments as “Oh, you can do that?” or “That’s where that is!”

You’ll be happy you took the time to look through this to find such useful options as “changing your default tool” ( I like mine to be “select”), “showing or hiding the sound controller” “Dock and  roll up your toolbar” and changing or viewing your design mode settings.

Essentially, this is a type of exploratory learning, similar to how we teach our students.  As always, if you have further questions, just reference the Promethean Planet forum.
