TTU Fall 2010 Scholarship Course Offerings 3
Each fall Tennessee Tech offers free graduate courses to local school systems. We will be offering two classes on site at the Loudon County Technology Center. Both of the classes meet five to six times throughout the fall and both are worth one credit hour. You can take each class up to three times for a total of three credit hours.
The application process has been drastically changed from last year. This year you will only have to fill out a single piece of paper and the application fee has been waived by the university for these classes so they are completely free. I have attached the application sheet which you can go ahead and fill out now and give to me at our opening day in-service if you wish. You will certainly have time to fill it out and get it back to me after that date but if you could turn it in on that Monday it would give us a good idea of what the class size will look like.
Technology for Teachers will meet five times throughout the fall. If we have more than 20 people enroll in the class then we will split into two classes and choose another day of the week for the second class. The first meeting will be scheduled based on the survey that you need to complete below. At the first meeting we will schedule the other four so we can make sure everyone’s schedule will fit. We will be focusing on free web resources, your Loudon County Teacher Website, and I-Pad / I-Pod applications for the classroom. We will also be giving out some technology equipment for classroom use. If you have questions specifically about the technology class let me know.
Classroom Spanish will start on August the 19th and will tentatively meet on September 2, 16 and 30 and October 14th and 28th. If you have questions regarding that class please contact Flory Dunigan at duniganf@frontiernet.net
