Sprout Rocket.Com is a new beta site that might be nice for a classroom taking on a garden project. You tell them your location, then they send a personalized calendar of when things need to be planted and even send the seeds. It’s not free, but the cost is reasonable. If you and your class have a green thumb, check it out. For problem solving, you might even want to use zip codes from colder or warmer climates and compare the results.
